SCHAUMBURG, IL — Neil Khot, candidate for Congress in Illinois’ 8th District, today strongly condemned the brutal mob killing of a Hindu man in Bangladesh and urged authorities to ensure accountability, protect religious minorities, and uphold the rule of law.
“I am deeply disturbed by the mob killing of Dipu Chandra Das in Bangladesh, a tragedy that reflects a broader breakdown in safety and respect for human dignity,” said Neil Khot. “Every person, regardless of faith or background, deserves to live free from fear and violence.”
Khot emphasized that reported arrests represent only the first step toward true justice. “Accountability must be full, transparent, and swift. Those responsible must be brought to justice and communities must be protected from further harm.”
He also highlighted the importance of safeguarding vulnerable groups and fostering stability. “Protecting human rights and religious freedom is not just an international priority, it is a moral imperative that strengthens global stability and reflects our shared values.”
Khot reiterated his belief in principled leadership that defends fairness, safety, and opportunity for all people, both at home and abroad.
