The Courage That Launched a Journey
Neil was born in Belgaum, India, into a lower-middle-class family. After his father passed away when Neil was young, his mother became a widow. Her unwavering courage and fierce determination became the foundation of his life. We understand the sacrifices single parents make—it is why Neil’s fight for women’s rights, fair pay, and robust family support is not political; it is deeply personal.Through hard work and a belief in the American Dream, I built successful, socially responsible businesses that created hundreds of jobs across Illinois.

- Neil arrived in the United States in December 1997 with just $300 in his pocket. As a hopeful immigrant, he had a single opportunity and nothing to fall back on. He knows what it means to start from the bottom, to make every dollar count, and to chase a dream with nothing but grit. That experience is why Neil Khot is dedicated to fighting for every resident trying to build a better life for their family.
