Elk Grove Village, IL — Illinois State Representative Fred Crespo has officially endorsed Neil Khot for Congress in Illinois’ 8th Congressional District, citing Khot’s long-standing commitment to the community, his personal immigrant story, and his focus on protecting working families and seniors.
“Neil found success after immigrating to the United States, and I have seen firsthand his passion and commitment to giving back to the community,” said Rep. Crespo. “In Congress, he will ensure that working families have access to affordable healthcare and housing, protect programs like Medicare and Social Security for our seniors, and fight back when the Trump Administration and ICE terrorize our communities.”
Crespo emphasized his long personal relationship with Khot and his confidence in Khot’s leadership.
“Neil Khot has been a friend of mine for almost 15 years,” Crespo added. “I am proud to endorse his candidacy for Congress in the Illinois 8th Congressional District.”
Khot thanked Rep. Crespo for his support, calling the endorsement meaningful both personally and politically.
“Fred Crespo has been a trusted leader for our community for years,” said Khot. “I’m honored to have his support as we work to build an economy that works for working families, protect our seniors, and stand up for the dignity and safety of our communities.”
The endorsement adds to growing momentum behind Khot’s campaign as voters look for leadership rooted in lived experience, service, and a deep understanding of the district.
